Hello!

Olivia-Lee invited me to join your happy group after I "met" her in the Secret of the Stole iii group. I see a few familiar "faces" on the side bar, but an introduction is in order...

I'm Channon, aka: Chan. I live east of Charlottesville, but belong to the River City Knitters. I knit (and knit!), am enjoying crochet more these days after a couple of classes with Edie Eckman in June, and I finally ordered a wheel a couple of days ago, after taking spinning lessons in the late winter/early spring. I blog almost daily, sometimes more than one post per day, but not all things blogged are fiber-related.

Works in progress? Well, I swore I would tackle one project at a time, and I think that lasted a few weeks. (I also swore I'd never spin, so I should quit swearing.) Currently, I am enjoying the last skein of my Voyager stole in Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk DK. I also have cast on for the Blue Jay shawl from Wrapped in Comfort, in an alpaca laceweight custom-dyed by a friend, but I can't seem to stop working with the Debbie Bliss! There are also a few other projects in bags - the River City Knitter's stole KAL, the Bigfoot shawl from Wrapped in Comfort, and the Lace Ribbon Scarf, which is my travel project when I'm not more interested in something else. There's also a crocheted cap languishing, and I have three (!!) hats to knit for the Ravelympics. I think that's it.

Intro - Margaret (LotsofYarn) in Charlottesville

Hi All! Thanks to Olivia-Lee for the invitation to join after she mentioned the blog on MMario's lace group.

I'm a knitter and spinner from Charlottesville, though we also spend some time in Mathews (down by the Bay). Most of my knitting and spinning adventures make it onto my blog, where I talk about lace, socks, startitis, some spinning, and lots of yarn. On Ravelry, I'm lotsofyarn.

We've got a weekly Wednesday night stitch-n-bitch/meetup in at the Hollymead Panera and all are invited to join us if you find yourself in Cville at mid-week. On Ravelry, we're Cville Knitters. Please get in touch with me if you want more info or links to our Yahoo group.
