Seattle LYS - OMG

All those little orange arrows represent yarn shops near where we're going! Can you believe it?

I'm going to Seattle!

I am so excited! Chris and I are going to Seattle in November to visit with DNS (dear Navy son) & NW (new wife) Jean. I am researching what fibery trouble I can get into while there and find that I may reach new heights (or depths) of wantonness. Check out this list of local shops JUST in the Seattle area - we Central Virginians can't even touch this many shops in one day without an airplane or helocopter! I've been talking with some Ravelry folks who live in that area and all of them have said - oh, come see us on our knit night! Frankly, I don't think I'd see much of Chris, DNS or DIL if left to my own devices :P So, I will hopefully keep you posted - but I have a request of you -- if you know of somewhere or someone to visit when I'm there, please do let me know - there is so much to see and do and we want to be as busy as our poor aging bodies will let us! LOL OH AND DON'T FORGET - the FFF (Fal Fiber Festival) is this week-end at James Madison's Montpelier - a link is in the right sidebar! Cat

Where in Virginia is Colonial Heights?

Well, we've moved - yes, again! But hopefully this is the last time for a long, long time!  I am including a subscribe button below, because if you live in Colonial Heights, or an adjacent area, you know we need to build some local relationships!

Colonial Heights has few major crimes but does have an inordinate number of thefts, vandalisms and the like. Increased awareness will benefit everyone : )

Update and updates needed

Really looking forward to being more moblie and more verbal in the New Year.

I have been knitting....Lots and lots of lace starts and dozens of hats. Really working on my felted hats and purses and embellishment patterns, thanks to the grands and greats...If one gets something the others can't be left out.

Bryer is still with me almost every day. The little redhead spitfire is now 3. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I am also watching 3 year old Christian and his brother Taylor in Glen Allen.

My three day a week PT is now down to one day and I am feeling so much better. Gotta keep up the exercises. If anyone one wants to come out to the farm and walk, I'd love to have some companions. We could walk, lunch and knit...Or visa versa...

Back to list duties. We'd like all of you to update your information and if you know of happenings like nearby fiber festivals or happenings we need that information updated also.

It seems we have some addresses on the list that are no longer active or valid. It would be helpful to us, since membership is limited, if you could let us know if you are still interested in being a member of this group....If you have friends that would like to be members please don't hesitate to e-mail Cathy or me....Please drop in and say hello and let us know what you are doing these days....Remember this is your blog spot too. Let's all use it.

Spend July 4th at Fredericksburg Heritage Festival

Our next show is the Fredericksburg Heritage Festival on the 4th of July in Downtown Fredericksburg.  If you don't have plans this is going to be great. The festival kicks off with a 5K marathon, followed by a parade, entertainment on stage all day, family activities and of course the craft show with artisans from all over.

Here are a few pictures of our last two shows.
